These are just right as far as opening and closing them. Not to tight and not to loose. The eggs are the same size as real ones and the carton (made of plastic) is really nice and cute. The matching colored eggs are easy for a child to put together and take apart. Once kids walked by them in their container on the floor, and pick them up naturally out of curiosity. It's pretty amazing that they can open up these eggs, and there are colors inside. also they can put the eggs back together and put them in the egg container. be assembled with their proper color/number pair.
